Utility crews were evacuating residents in an area of San Diego due to a gas leak.
The break was reported at 10:28 a.m. Friday along the 3600-block of Ash Street near Bridgeview Drive and Cactus Ridge Street in the City Heights neighborhood.
Officials with San Diego Fire-Rescue said a construction crew may have ruptured the gas line.
Crews were on scene evaluating the threat from the leak.
San Diego Gas & Electric crews were called to help.
Residents in two condos were told to evacuate the units while crews worked to repair the leak.
