A child moving trash cans was struck by a car in Jamul, California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers said.
The crash happened near Pioneer Way and Proctor Valley Road in Jamul at approximately 1:24 p.m. Monday, CHP officials said.
The child was taken to Rady Children's Hospital with minor injuries.
No other information was immediately available.
