Chargers at Browns: Who To Watch

Three Players Who Will Impact Sunday's Game

Here's a look at 3 guys who will have a direct say in the outcome of the Chargers vs. Browns game Sunday in Cleveland:

1) Shareece Wright. The cornerback has been hurt since the season opener. After his stellar pre-season Wright was being counted on to help shore up the pass defense, something that's killed the Bolts in their back-to-back losses to the Saints and Broncos. Wright is listed as probable, and should be on the field to face rookie QB Brandon Weeden Sunday.

2) Antonio Gates. I know, DUH! However, I say this because Gates is coming off a two touchdown performance against the Broncos and really seems to be hitting his stride. Plus, in his previous two trips to Cleveland, he's had some memorable days. In 2004, Gates caught a 72-yard touchdown pass, the longest reception of his career. In 2009, Antonio had 167 receiving yards, the biggest single-game total of his career. He likes to play in Ohio, which is not surprising. Remember, Gates went to college at Kent State.

3) Mike Windt. Yes, I went with the long snapper. There's a reason for this. I'll let you all decide if it's good. The weather is going to be chilly, expected in the high-40's, with possible rain in the forecast. Wet weather has a huge impact on special teams. Windt is quietly turning into a tremendous long-snapper. His ability to get Mike Scifres the ball on punts and field goals (Mike is the holder for Nick Novak) with quickness and accuracy help greatly when dealing with imperfect footing. A bad snap, or even a slightly off snap, can spell disaster.
