On July 24, the Chargers open training camp. Coming off 2013's surprising run to the second round of the AFC Playoffs (and, as Philip Rivers will tell you, they'd have gone even further had they just gotten one more possession in Denver in January ... and he's right!), there will be an awful lot of interest to see how the 2014 Bolts are progressing.

So, here's a list of the 10 practices that are open to the public, with free parking and free admission:

    Thursday, July 24 … 9:20-11:30 am
    Friday, July 25 … 2:50-5:00 pm
    Saturday, July 26 … 9:20-11:30 am
    Sunday, July 27 … 2:50-5:00 pm
    Thursday, July 31 … 9:20-11:30 am
Saturday, Aug. 2 … FanFest, presented by Bud Light, at Qualcomm Stadium (time TBA)
    Monday, Aug. 4 … 2:50-5:00 pm
    Saturday, Aug. 9 … 9:20-11:30 am
    Monday, Aug. 11 … 2:50-5:00 pm
    Tuesday, Aug. 12 … 9:20-11:30 am

All practices except FanFest are at the Chargers training facility, located at 4020 Murphy Canyon Rd. There are a few helpful tips to keep in mind.

Gates to Chargers Park open one hour before practice starts. During the week, parking is available only on Murphy Canyon Road. For weekend practices, fans will be allowed to park on Murphy Canyon Road as well as in the Kearny Mesa Business Center, located just south of Chargers Park.

You can bring personal cameras to training camp, but leave the real professional gear at home. Video cameras and telephoto lenses longer than six inches (detachable or non-detachable) are not allowed.

Also, you cannot bring pets (other than service dogs), weapons, chains, stun guns, mace & pepper sprays, water guns, fireworks, frisbees, sports balls, beach balls or other inflatable objects, laser pointers, flammable objects, musical instruments or noise-making devices, or your Mother-In-Law (OK I made that last one up. She can come, too) to practices.
