The incident happened at a skateboard ramp and left the teen seriously injured

A teenager sustained serious injuries in San Marcos Thursday morning after a vehicle ran over him twice, according to authorities.

The accident happened in the 3400-block of De Leone Road at around 10:15 a.m.

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said the juvenile was sitting on a skateboard ramp in front of a parked car. A San Marcos resident got inside the vehicle and, without seeing the teen, ran him over.

The driver then backed up the car, running over the teen once more, officials said.
