A man was hospitalized after officials found him in a vehicle sitting inside a channel in Bay Park on Friday morning.
San Diego Fire officials got a call that a car had gone into water in a channel located at 4675 Tecolote Road, a cross street of West Morena Blvd., at about 8:30 a.m., SDFD officials said.
Once officials arrived on the scene they reportedly found a man inside the car.
The man wasn't rescued from the car, according to officials, however he was taken to an area hospital.
The car was later pulled from the channel.
The reason as to why the car was in the channel wasn’t immediately known.
