A sheered hydrant left water gushing into the street into the Hillcrest area just north of Downtown San Diego.
The San Diego Water Department and Fire-Rescue Department responded to the incident around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday on 6th Avenue and Anderson Place.
A car hit a hydrant after a traffic accident, which sent a geyser into the air.
A traffic accident led to a car hitting a hydrant.
The area was taped off as the water department looked to fix the leak.
The Fire Department has cleared the scene and water officials took over.
