A mother driving with her 3-year-old daughter slammed her car into a construction vehicle Friday morning, causing her car to land on its roof, officials said.

According to police, the woman was driving eastbound on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard and Moraga Avenue around 7:15 a.m. when the sun got in her eyes. She struck the back of CAT construction vehicle and the impact caused her car to flip over.

Other than a few scrapes, police said the mother and daughter were not injured in the incident. No one else was involved or harmed either.

Officials temporarily closed eastbound Clairemont Mesa Boulevard following the incident.
