Car Crashes into San Ysidro Home

Officers responding to the scene said they believe the accident stemmed from a road rage incident

An SUV crashed into a San Ysidro home knocking the homeowner off of his couch and underneath a pile of rubble.

The crash began with a road rage incident around 11 p.m. Monday according to San Diego police officers.

One car hit another and attempted to speed off when the driver lost control and slammed into the home in the 300 block of South Vista in San Ysidro.

A man was inside was sitting on his couch, doing a puzzle when the car came through the wall and hit the couch.

The resident was uninjured. The driver has been taken into custody.

There's no word on a damage estimate.
