A car caught fire outside of a Jack in the Box in Chula Vista Saturday night.
The incident happened around 9:28 p.m. at 370 E. H Street.
“Basically I just pulled up, parked the car, went inside the Jack in the Box to grab some meat on my way to work, somebody said ‘it’s on fire! It’s on fire!’” Bill Jackson said. “I looked outside and it was my car barbecuing itself.”
Chula Vista fire responded and had the fire out within minutes. No injuries have been reported.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
