Businessman Killed in East Village Attack Laid to Rest

Families and friends laid to rest a beloved businessman Saturday, three days after he was killed by two people in disguise at his East Village flooring store.

Grieving family, friends and loved ones gathered at the Peter Chaldean Catholic Cathedral in El Cajon to their say goodbye to Ghedeer "Tony" Radda, a beloved, father, business and friend.

Some are still in shock that Radda is gone, killed at his business, Bottom Price Flooring, on Wednesday.

“Very difficult unbelievable,” Haitham Marcos, Radda’s childhood friend said. “It’s tragic, there's really no words.”

On Wednesday afternoon, his hard-working friend was found in his shop with trauma to his chest and no pulse.

Police say two suspects in disguises — a man wearing what appears to be a granny mask and a woman in a purple wig — killed him.

“Tony, I can honestly say, had no rivals with anybody,” Marcos said. “Very honest guy when you can to him for advice or help, he was there for you giving hard working"

As Radda’s coffin is being delivered to his final resting place, El Cajon Cemetery, family members and friends shed tears as they say goodbye for one last time.

His wife, two daughters and loved ones are now seeking justice as his killers remain on the loose. Police still do not have a motive for the killing.

“I definitely hope justice is going to be served,” Marcos said. “I'm still questioning why. And if it was over money, you know I'm sure the money would have been given. Why did it come down to bodily harm, and furthermore, death? Is a question that I'm waiting for it to be answered."

Anyone with information about this incident was urged to contact the San Diego Police Department’s homicide unit or Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.

The family has set up a GoFundMe page to cover the costs of his memorial services.
