A brush fire burning at a moderate rate of spread sparked in San Ysidro Sunday
According to officials, the fire began just before 1:30 p.m. on the 5300 block of Airway Road, near San Ysidro High School.
By 1:45 p.m., fire crews had requested helicopter assistance.
After about an hour, firefighters were able to contain the fire. Officials said no structures were threatened and no injuries were reported.
