A brush fire burned approximately one acre of vegetation in Poway Friday, officials confirmed.
The blaze began around 2:15 p.m. near State Route 67 at Poway Parkway.
Fire crews were able to quickly stop it from spreading and had it contained by 2:35 p.m. No homes were threatened and no one was injured, fire officials said.
A SigAlert was issued at 2:40 p.m. for the area on SR-67 between Poway and Mt. Woodson roads as firefighters remained in the area mopping up hot spots.
