“Brothers At War”

A new documentary follows two brothers as they carry out their duty in Iraq.

The tragedy and triumph of war hits the big screen.

For the next two weeks, the movie documentary  "Brother's at War" will be playing at the Regal 16 theaters in Oceanside. The film's director wanted the movie to be previewed in military communities like Oceanside before opening to a wider national audience.

The project is the brainchild of  director Jake Rademacher, who  follows his two brothers' units in Iraq and then follows as they return back home to their families.

"There's nobody in this movie that's not living the war on a daily basis. There's no political pundits, no B.S. quite frankly," said Rademacher, who was at Saturday's showing in Oceanside. "It's just an opportunity to get to the edge of the battle field with the guys that are serving there and get a real good look at who these people are."

Audiences say the movie gives amazing access to the daily lives of our troops. The film also features marines based at Camp Pendleton.
