A 9-year-old boy who was hit by a vehicle near a Lakeside elementary school has died, according to the Medical Examiner's Office said.
The boy was walking along Winter Gardens Boulevard near Riverview Elementary School around 4 p.m. Wednesday when he was hit.
Paramedics transported the boy to Rady Children's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The boy's name was not immediately released.
