Police are looking into whether a body found near the Ocean Beach pier is connected to another person found in the water nearby.
The body was reported floating in the shallow water near the pier at around 11:30 p.m. Friday, said Lifeguards. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Lifeguards received a second report a short time later of an injured man in the water off Sunset Cliffs, at the foot of Del Monte Avenue, two blocks south of the pier, according to Lifeguards.
That man was taken to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
Police are investigating whether the two men knew each other, said police.
