A body found Saturday in a remote area on the Barona Reservation could be that of missing Lakeside teen Christopher Carioscia.
“Since the reported disappearance of 17-year-old Christopher Cory Carioscia on October 27, detectives have focused this investigation on the Barona Indian Reservation, where Carioscia's burned vehicle was found,” said Lt. Dennis Brugos.
Investigators following up on potential leads in the case discovered a body of an unidentified male on Saturday, according to deputies.
“The area was processed as a crime scene into late last night and continues this morning,” said Lt. Brugos.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday in an effort to positively identify the victim and establish a cause and manner of death.
