Blackout Looms Over the Chargers

The Chargers need to sell nearly 5,000 tickets to lift the blackout for Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The team announced on Tuesday they need to sell 4,600 tickets by Thursday at 1 p.m. to lift the blackout. If the blackout is lifted the game will be shown on local channels. The kickoff is at 1:05 p.m.

If the team is unable to sell the tickets the Chargers' game will not be televised within a 75-mile radius.

Team officials say approximately 9,700 tickets are still available for the Chargers-Dolphins game on Sunday, Oct. 2.

Tickets can be purchased through the box office, online, or by calling 1-800-745-3000.
