The couple was at their home on Brookhaven Road in Bay Terraces when three men barged in, one of them armed with a gun

A husband and wife were robbed at gunpoint in their Bay Terraces home Friday night by a group of three masked men who barged into the residence, officials said.

The San Diego Police Department (SDPD) said three men entered the garage of the couple’s home in the 7200 block of Brookhaven Road at around 10:20 p.m. One suspect brandished a firearm and demanded property from the husband and wife.

The couple gave the group some belongings. Police said the suspect who was wielding the gun then used the firearm to strike the husband in the head.

The trio fled the home on foot. When officers arrived at the scene, the suspect were nowhere to be found. As of Saturday, no arrests had been made.

The SDPD described the men as being in their 20s to 30s. They wore dark bandanas covering their faces during the home invasion. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.
