Ten thousand badges for the 2012 Comic-Con sold out in a hurry Thursday morning on the first official day of the annual San Diego convention.
Onsite re-registration, open on a first-come, first-serve basis to 2011 Comic-Con patrons, began at 8 a.m. and sold out within an hour.
People began waiting in line Wednesday at about 2:30 p.m., and many were too far back in line to receive a ticket.
A second 10,000-badge wave for next year will be sold Friday at the Douglas Pavilion Manchester Grand Hyatt, located on 1 Market Place.
