Aztecs RB Adam Muema Leaves NFL Combine

Declines To Work Out For Religious Reasons

Former San Diego State running back Adam Muema was supposed to have his NFL Combine workouts on Sunday in Indianapolis.

For a guy who left school a year early and is generally regarded as a mid-to-late-round Draft pick, the Combine is a tremendously important event. A good workout can sell NFL teams that were sitting on the fence about a player's talent.

However, Muema decided not to participate in any drills and left Indiana.

Muema told reporters he was following the word of God, who spoke to him and told him not to work out at the Combine because if he did not participate he would end up with the Seattle Seahawks (one of Muema's favorite teams).

Muema quotes Scripture often on his social media pages. He will work out for NFL teams that are still interested in March at San Diego State's Pro Day.
