Attempted Abduction Reported in Oceanside

Two separate attempted abductions were reported Thursday in two areas of the county. In one, a 12-year old boy reported a man tried to kidnap him from an El Cajon store. In the other, a 14-year old girl walking on an Oceanside sidewalk said a man demanded she get in her car.

A Lincoln Middle School told police she was walking on Oceanside Boulevard near McDonald Street Wednesday around 3 p.m. when a man in a car demanded she get in.

The subject drove onto the sidewalk/curb and blocked the student's path as she was walking, police said.

The student said she told the man “Get away” and ran away.

The subject described as a black male between 40-45 years of age, thin build, short black hair and having a lot of wrinkles on his face, was wearing a dark blue t-shirt and black sunglasses.

The vehicle was described as a beige four-door sedan with the partial plate of CA 6KQ#74#, police said. The car had lightly tinted windows.

If anyone has information on the subject or the vehicle, they are asked to contact the Oceanside Police Department.
