Armed Robbers Crash Party, Fire Shots

Police report that two people were injured in the incident

A pair of armed robber interrupted a party, firing shots during a robbery in Jamacha early Friday morning.

Several people were partying in the front yard of a home in the 400 block of Cardiff Street when two men pulled up in a black Honda around 4:30 a.m., said Sgt J.R. León, with San Diego police.

The two robbers took cash from the partygoers while holding them at gunpoint, León said.

Police said, at some point during the robbery shots were fired, injuring two people, who were later taken to a hospital for treatment. Their injuries were not considered life threatening.

The suspects fled the scene inside the car before detectives arrived, León said.

The incident is currently under investigation.
