Suspect Sought in La Jolla Home Invasion Robbery

The robbery happened Friday night on Starlight Drive in La Jolla

Police are searching for a suspect involved in an armed home invasion robbery in La Jolla Friday night.

According to police, the home invasion happened just before 11 p.m. on the 7700 block of Starlight Drive.

An unknown male suspect armed with a rifle or shotgun entered a home on the street and threatened a female housekeeper who was inside the residence, police said.

The suspect walked with the victim around the house, gathering miscellaneous items and stuffing the stolen goods into a trash bag. He left after about 30 minutes, police said. The victim was not injured.

The home invasion robbery suspect is described as a blue-eyed white male, 30-25 years old, 5-feet-9-inches tall and weighing 140-pounds. He was wearing jeans, a light striped shirt and dirty white shoes at the time of the armed robber, according to authorities.

He possibly fled the scene in an older car with a loud muffler.
