Downtown Hotel Opens Pop-Up Beer Garden

A new mini beer garden at the Andaz San Diego hotel will offer beer and bites daily

A hip hotel in downtown San Diego is offering suds and sun via its new “pop-up beer garden” located on its rooftop.

Starting daily at 12 p.m., Andaz San Diego – located at 600 F St. in the Gaslamp Quarter – invites visitors and locals to kick back on lawn chairs on the hotel’s rooftop bar and lounge and sip on craft beers from San Diego best brewers.

The pop-up beer garden doesn’t just stop at suds. German-style snacks that pair perfectly with brews are served up there, too, including pretzels, curry wurst and schnitzel. The beer selection includes gems from local breweries like Mike Hess Brewing, Ballast Point and Lightning Brewery. German classics, drafts and bottled beers are also available.

While sipping and snacking under the sun and stars, patrons can also partake in fun lawn games like Giant Jenga and ping-pong. Also worth a mention: the rooftop at the Andaz has spectacular views of the San Diego skyline, as well as a pool and private cabanas.

“A cold, sudsy brew just tastes better in a laid-back environment, especially one set against the backdrop of spectacular downtown views of San Diego like from RoofTop600,” said Jeffrey Miller, General Manager of Andaz San Diego.

The pop-up beer garden will run for a limited time only, through April.
