An Amtrak train hit a huge eucalyptus tree south of the Sorrento Valley Train Station around 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
High winds uprooted the tree and it fell across the tracks according to officials.
Some passengers left the train and found alternate transportation downtown.
No injuries were reported.
