Start warming up those vocal chords, San Diego, because American Idol is coming to town and searching for its next big star.
On July 6 and 7, singers can register to be heard by the show’s celebrity judges: Jennifer Lopez, Stephen Tyler, Randy Jackson and Jimmy Iovine. Auditions will begin Friday, July 8 at Petco Park.
San Diego is known for its talented singers: Season 8 runner up Adam Lambert is from America’s Finest City. Also, five of Season 7’s finalists originally auditioned in San Diego, according to American Idol’s website.
Lines for American Idol auditions are notoriously known for being long, so make sure to arrive early.
