A woman has pleaded not guilty to eight felony charges in the alleged molestation of four children at the San Diego-based day care center she ran with her husband.
Anita Maria Kaczmarczyk entered her pleas Thursday in San Diego Superior Court.
The prosecution alleges the children, ranging from a few months to just over 2 years old, were molested between June 2007 and September 2007.
“They were responsible for the well being of these four children,” said Lucy Weismantel with the San Diego District Attorney’s Office. “The four children had signs of physical injuries while they were in their care.”
Anita Kaczmarczyk also faces charges of committing lewd and lascivious acts on 4 different children.
Kaczmarczyk is being held on $150,000 bail. A prosecutor says she faces 60 years to life in prison if convicted.

Her husband, Mark Lee Kaczmarczyk, was arrested Sunday in Taiwan and is awaiting extradition to San Diego.
