ATM Machine Stolen from Hotel

Police said two suspects hauled an ATM machine away with a handcart from the Grand Del Mar Hotel Friday morning

Police are looking for two male suspects who allegedly stole an ATM machine from the Grand Del Mar Hotel in Carmel Valley early Friday morning.

According to police, the heist happened just before 3 a.m. Two men entered the hotel located at 5300 Grand Del Mar Court through a set of double doors located near the elevators.

They had a handcart with them, police said.

The suspects walked up to an ATM machine located next to the elevators and loaded the ATM onto the handcart. They fled the scene with the machine in tow.

Police said the ATM was later discovered in an open field in the 13600 block of Carmel Valley Road. Information about whether the machine was damaged or missing money was not released.

Police describe the suspects as two white males between 18 to 25 years old. They were both wearing dark hooded sweatshirts that covered their faces during the burglary.

Details on the estimated losses were not available.
