AA Flight Evacuated at DFW

American Airlines Flight 1116 from San Diego to DFW was evacuated on a taxiway at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport shortly after landing Thursday.

There were reports of an odor on board that concerned the pilots, so the plane stopped on a taxiway after landing.

All 140 passengers were deplaned and bussed to Gate C2.  The two pilots and three flight attendants also exited the aircraft without incident.

The plane was then towed from the taxiway.

Officials with the airline have not said when the odor was first detected or what it may be.  They have not yet had a chance to debrief the pilots with the emergency evacuation under way.

The flight was originally scheduled to land at DFW and arrived on time.
