$7M Winning Lottery Ticket Sold in San Marcos Still Unclaimed

A lottery ticket worth $7 million that was purchased in San Marcos at the end of last year remains unclaimed, state lottery officials said Monday.

The SuperLotto Plus ticket was purchased at Nordahl Liquor, 740 Nordahl Road, for the Dec. 30 drawing and matched the winning numbers 3-4-6-26-25 and Mega number 22.

If the winner turns in the ticket and decides to take the lump sum amount, they would receive a check of $4.6 million before federal taxes. The winner could also opt for payments over 30 years.

Lottery winners have about six months to claim their prizes, or the money goes to schools.

The owner of the liquor store has also received a $35,000 payment for selling the winning ticket.
