A five-year-old was rescued Thursday evening after being found at the bottom of a hotel pool in Carlsbad, Carlsbad police confirmed.
The girl was not breathing when a family friend got her out of the pool. Two hotel employees initiated CPR and successfuly revived the child.
She was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
The incident happened at approximately 5:15 p.m. at Cape Rey Carlsbad, a Hilton resort.
Carlsbad police and the Carlsbad Fire Department both responded.
No other information was immediately available.
