Three public high schools and two home-school programs in North County are among the nation's best high schools, according to a new list issued by U.S. News & World Report.
El Camino High School in Oceanside, Torrey Pines High School in San Diego and Canyon Crest Academy in San Diego made the national magazine's list of nearly 2,000 high-performing schools, as did local home-school programs Carlsbad Seaside Academy and Ramona Community School, the North County Times reported.
