42-Acre Brush Fire Ignites at Camp Pendleton

    A brush fire in Camp Pendleton’s Mike Training Area broke out Monday afternoon.

    The fire spanned 42 acres, Camp Pendleton officials said.

    It burned about one mile south of the Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton.

    The fire was fully contained shortly after 2:00 p.m., according to Camp Pendleton officials.

    No injuries or major property damage have been reported.
