Boy, 4, Falls From Second Story Window in Vista

A 4-year-old was airlifted to the hospital after he fell from the second story window of a building in Vista Monday.

The incident occurred at 6:37 p.m. on the 900 block of Postal Way near S Santa Fe Avenue, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department (SDSO).

A woman who was visiting her step-father in the area told NBC 7 she did not see the incident but heard someone screaming "help."

"I heard someone screaming β€˜help’ but I didn’t think it was that big," Sincere Sypho said.

She said she also has a 6-year-old son and would be devastated if anything like this happened to him.

"I feel bad for that person," Sypho added, speaking of the boy's mother.

The child was airlifted to Rady Children's Hospital in critical condition, according to a hospital spokesperson.
