3 Rescued in Military Helicopter Crash Near Guam

Two pilots and an aircrewman were rescued Wednesday after their helicopter crashed in the ocean near Guam, according to military officials.

The crew of USS Dewey pulled the helicopter crew from the ocean. There did not appear to be any injuries, according to military officials.

The MH-60R helicopter was on a routine flight when the incident occurred. The aircraft is assigned to Helicopter Maritime Squadron (HSM) 78, currently embarked aboard USS Dewey.

USS Dewey, part of the San Diego-based 3rd Fleet, deployed March 31 for the Western Pacific.
