3 Arrested at Occupy San Diego

Two arrested for battery of an officer, according to police

Three arrests were made on Saturday at the Occupy San Diego demonstrations outside the Civic Center, according to San Diego police.

Police said two people were arrested for battery of an officer and another person was arrested for setting up gear in the concourse.

A video posted on Facebook by Women Occupy San Diego which purportedly shows the arrest claims the charges were "trumped up."

In the video, which was posted to YouTube, a woman can be seen being handcuffed by officers among a group of others.  The woman, who Women Occupy identified as an Occupy member, is heard giving her information as police lead her away from the plaza.

In December, the San Diego City Attorney's office reported that of all the arrests made at Occupy San Diego only 29 resulted in formal charges.
