A 22-year-old El Cajon resident has been identified as the man killed in a rollover crash along the Interstate 8 in El Cajon Tuesday night.
Andy Walaa Mezi was behind the wheel of an SUV that rolled over the westbound lanes on the I-8 at Greenfield Drive and went down an embankment.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), Mezi began drifting into the center divide as he was driving on the I-8 and over-corrected, causing him to lose control of the vehicle.
CHP said the SUV fell approximately 50 to 100 feet down the embankment.
Mezi was declared dead at the scene.
