The 2012 Aztecs football schedule is out. It would appear the early-season games are a lot more palatable than last year's non-conference slate.

Gone are a road trip to Michigan and a trip to Army (the first game SDSU had ever played in the state of New York), as well as the always tough TCU Horned Frogs.
It'll take the Aztecs a while to figure out how to replace Ryan Lindley and Ronnie Hillman, so the easier early-season schedule will help. A 3rd straight trip to a bowl game is not out of the question. In fact, at this point the program has become good enough for us to expect a game in late December.
