    Mother Finds Toddler Floating in Pool, Performed CPR Before Airlift

    An Escondido mother found her two-year-old floating in the swimming pool yesterday. The child was unresponsive after the mother attempted CPR, but she did have a pulse. The child was then airlifted to Rady Children's Hospital. NBC 7's Matt Rascon has the details. (Published Tuesday, June 7, 2016)

    A two-year-old girl nearly drowned in a pool in Escondido Monday afternoon, Escondido police confirmed.

    The toddler’s mother found her floating, face down, rescued her and gave her CPR until officers arrived.

    The pool is located at a house in the 2000 block of Oak Hill Drive.

    The girl had a pulse but was unresponsive. By the time she was airlifted to the hospital, she was awake and crying, police said. 

    There is no information on her condition.
