A 2-year-old girl is dead after a 32-inch television fell on top of her on Thursday.
The North County Times reports the television was set on top of a narrow bench or bar stool, when it fell on top of the toddler. It happened at about 2 p.m. at a home on the 4200 block of Candia Court in Oceanside.
The paramedics rushed the child to Tri-City Medical Center, where she died at 2:44 p.m., the paper said.
Oceanside police say they are unsure how the television fell, but they are calling it an accident.
The toddler was at the home with her mother, who was babysitting for a family member.
