A truck overturned on Interstate 15 near Mountain View Tuesday afternoon, blocking all northbound lanes with 2,000 pounds of scrap metal and spilled oil.

Update: All lanes were re-opened at about 2:30 p.m.

The accident involved two vehicles on I-15 near the Oceanview Blvd. exit. at about 11:30 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

The spilled oil from one truck prompted a Hazmat team to respond.

Two people were transported to the hospital.

All lanes of the northbound I-15 were closed for about two hours. Officers opened the shoulder to let traffic through during that time, but drivers experienced major delays. CHP also diverted traffic through Ocean View Blvd.
