Feds Stop Child Molester from Entering U.S.

Border Patrol agents arrest Mexican national from illegally entering country

Border Patrol agents arrested a convicted child molester Thursday for illegally entering the country.

The 49-year-old man was incarcerated in 1996 for repeated sexual abuse of a child in Orange County, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Thursday morning, federal authorities found the man after he crossed into the US without proper documentation. He was joined by two other undocumented Mexican nationals.

Upon processing the suspect, they learned he had been previously deported in six years ago after serving for his child molestation conviction.

The suspect now awaits trial for felony re-entry after deportation. He is currently in the custody of the Department of Homeland Security.
