A pedestrian crossing an unlighted street in Poway was left with significant injuries after being struck by a car Sunday night.
The pedestrian crossed Poway Rd. near Tarascan Dr. at about 9 p.m. without the use of a crosswalk or traffic control device, according to sheriff’s deputies.
The driver of the vehicle cooperated with law enforcement as the pedestrian was transported to Palomar Hospital with significant injuries.
Identities of the driver and pedestrian have not yet been released pending investigations.
