A suspect attempted to rob an Einstein Bros. Bagel shop on Balboa Ave. early Tuesday morning.
The suspect fired one shot at the door frame of the shop at about 5:15 a.m. He then turned and ran away from the shop on 5650 Balboa Ave, San Diego Police Department officials said.
Police were still on scene at 6:45 a.m.
Last week, a Mission Valley Einstein's Bros. bagel shop was robbed by a masked gunman. The robber of the Mission Valley robber matches the description of a suspect that robbed the same store three weeks ago, investigators said.
It is unclear at this time if the suspect is the same as this robber.
