San Ramon Girl Scout Found

An 11-year-old Girl Scout on a camping trip who walked away from camp has been found safe. 

The girl was reported missing in Santa Cruz County Saturday afternoon, according to the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office.   She was staying at the Cutter Scout reservation near Boulder Creek.

She apparently wandered away from the group.

Santa Cruz County sheriff's deputies received the report that she was missing at around 4:30 p.m., according to a sheriff's dispatcher.

The girl was on a camping trip with a scout troop out of San Ramon.

Sheriff's deputies from Santa Cruz and San Mateo counties conducted a search. Over 100 people were searching this morning when she was found.  She is being brought back to camp to be reunited with her parents.
