$10K Worth of Gucci Merchandise Stolen From University City Store, Police Say

Thousands of dollars-worth of Gucci merchandise was stolen from a University City storefront on Tuesday, the store owners told police.

The robbery occurred just after 9 p.m. at a storefront located near the intersection of Genesee Avenue and La Jolla Village Drive. 

The San Diego Police Department said they received reports that three people entered the store and grabbed what was estimated by store employees to be $10,000 worth of merchandise. 

SDPD arrived and began searching the area for the suspects but no arrests had been made by late Thursday night. 

As police conducted their investigation, two bags were found along Genesee Avenue, SDPD said. 

The investigation into the robbery is ongoing.
