1 Dies in I-5 Rollover Crash

One man died after a rollover on Interstate 5 Wednesday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A 20-year-old woman lost control of her white Nissan Altima while heading south on I-5 near State Route 52 at 8:10 p.m.

The Altima collided into the rear of a white Ford E350. The driver of the Ford traveled off the road, continued up an embankment and rolled over. The 52-year-old man inside the truck was transported to Scripps Hospital in La Jolla. CHP officials say the man was prononuced dead at the hospital.

The female driver was uninjured. 

CHP officers are investigating the cause of the crash. Alcohol and/or drugs are not suspected to be a factor, officials said.
