1 Dead, 1 Wounded After Shooting in Lincoln Park

Police search for two suspects after shooting in the 4800 block Solola Avenue

One man died and another was wounded after a shooting in the Lincoln Park area on Saturday afternoon, according to San Diego police.

Two men were talking outside an apartment complex in the 4800 block of Solola Avenue when two other men approached them and began arguing with them, according to police.

One of the suspects reportedly shot both of the men, who police later found suffering from gunshot wounds in the apartment's parking lot at about 4:36 p.m.

The suspects fled on foot to a white four-door sedan and left the scene, police said.

Both of the victims were transported to an area hospital where one of the men was pronounced dead just before 5:30 p.m., according to a media release.

The victim's identities were withheld pending notification of their families, police said.

The suspects in the shooting were described as two males in their late teens. One was said to be wearing a hooded sweatshirt with jeans and the other was wearing a hooded sweatshirt with dark pants. One of the suspects was described as having acne.

Police said the crime did not appear to be gang-related and that they are still investigating the incident.
