An airport shuttle van struck and killed a pedestrian just off Interstate 5 early Sunday morning, California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers said.
The crash happened at approximately 1:35 a.m. Sunday on the Sassafrass/Kettner Boulevard off ramp from Interstate 5, CHP officers said.
When officers arrived on scene, they found the pedestrian had died as a result of injuries from the crash. It is unclear if the Super Shuttle had passengers on board at the time.
The 53-year-old woman has not been identified.
The off ramp was closed for two hours as officers investigated, but has since been reopened.
No other information was immediately available.
